After being hospitalized with a rare undiagnosed autoimmune condition called Behcets Disease, Andrea contracted a bacterial infection while in the hospital. Although hospital contracted illnesses are all too common in our healthcare system, Andrea’s body, already in a weakened state was unable to fight off the infection. In the early morning hours of Jan. 16, 2024, after 24 days in the hospital, Andrea finally let go. Andrea’s unexpected loss devastated not only her family, but all those who knew and loved her. Out of pure love for Andrea and a healing need to keep her legacy alive, her sister created the Andrea Mychaels Performing Arts Foundation.
AMPAF honors Andrea's lifelong commitment and dedication to the arts by providing scholarships and financial support to emerging performing artists. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to empower aspiring artists with the resources they need to pursue their arts education and training. Inspired by Andrea's passion for the arts, we are dedicated to ensuring that emerging artists have opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in the performing arts arena.
AMPAF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
